Awhile back I made the decision to leave the workforce to care for my father until he passed. It was difficult, but I knew he needed and deserved my attention. Later in 2022 when I created Amna Sanctuary to serve refugees, I saw firsthand how the working age adults integrated into the local economy but the elder generation became isolated at home. Senior caregiving is time-consuming and I understand it may not be possible, especially in this economy, to give up your job and help your older family members. That’s why I want to open a place that can care for loved ones so they are not left alone during the day. A Sanctuary where you can trust us to provide a dignified atmosphere for your respected elders that meets their essential needs: socialization, activity, a proper meal, and safety until you’re ready to take them home.
