Dr. Rasha Roshdy, founder of Amna Sanctuary, was honored to receive the Collective Resilience Advocate award from Rise San Diego during a ceremony Oct. 11 at the San Diego Natural History Museum.

“This award means a lot to Amna,” she said, after accepting the award. “All we are trying to do is welcome our new San Diego residents and give them the means and skills to become independent, productive, and happy. We’ve been the conduit of generosity for numerous doners and volunteers, and I couldn’t be happier.”
